Learn Valuable Skills That Drive Growth

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses has partnered with Long Beach City College and Los Angeles City College to provide small business owners in the Southern California Region with access to practical business courses, financial capital, and powerful networking opportunities to help their businesses grow. Through the support of the Goldman Sachs Foundation, business owners selected to participate will receive a scholarship covering the full cost of tuition and program materials.

National Initiative

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a $500 million investment to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing them with greater access to education, financial capital and business support services. The program currently operates in 15 markets in the U.S. through a network of more than 90 academic and community partners. Over 6,100 small business owners have participated and the program continues to expand on a city-by-city basis.

Stimulating Small Business Growth

Designed by Babson College, the nation’s top-ranked entrepreneurship school, the curriculum focuses on practical business skills that can immediately be applied by business owners. Statistics show the program impact on 10,000 Small Businesses Alumni: Average % Revenue Growth at 6 months was 67.2%; 18 months was 73.7%; and at 30 months was 77.81%

Average % Job Creation at 6 months was 47.1%; 18 months was 54.6%; and at 30 months was 56.5%

A Network of Support

Small business owners will receive one-on-one business advising and powerful networking opportunities. The program provides expert advice and technical assistance through partnerships with national and local business organizations, professional services firms and the people of Goldman Sachs.
